Grilled Cheese with Mixed Mushrooms

In this Versilfood version, the classic bread-and-cheese combination is enriched with the full, enveloping flavor of Versilfood Mixed Mushrooms. A perfect meeting of creaminess and character, where the quality of the ingredients and careful selection make all the difference.

Ingredients

  • Whole grain seeded bread
  • Versilfood Mixed Mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Parsley or thyme, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 160 g grated fontina-style cheese
  • 80 g mozzarella for pizza
  • Butter, as needed, to spread on the bread

Preparation

  1. In a pan, melt a knob of butter with the garlic clove.
    Add the Versilfood Mixed Mushrooms, season with paprika and herbs, and cook for about 7 minutes until soft and flavorful.
  2. Spread butter on both sides of the bread slices.
    On one slice, place the mozzarella, the warm mushrooms, and the grated cheese. Cover with the other slice of bread.
  3. Cook on a grill or in a hot pan until the bread is golden and crispy and the cheese is completely melted and gooey.
  4. Serve hot, when every bite delivers pure comfort.
